Our Little Nicki Minaj

Sabrina got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and was listening to music on it. Ella requested Super Bass and here's a little sampling of her singing it. It's kind of hard to hear her and she's a little distracted by Christmas Vacation on in the background, but at the end of the second video she's really singing the chorus, even though her head is turned.

Christmas Morning

Ella and Kayla were both up by 6:30 am and by 7:00 we were in the car headed over to Dad and Becky's to open presents from Santa with the kids. This time Ella had to share opening presents, but didn't mind and had a great time with everyone, especially Aunt Sabrina! Kayla finally fell asleep, but as you can see Ella can't help but give her kisses and rub her back...If only she could be that nice to Kayla when she's awake!

Christmas Eve

That evening we were at my Mom's to open gifts with her side of the family. Again, the girls were completely spoiled and Ella helped everyone open their gifts. Kayla did get much of a nap earlier in the day and by this time had enough and was asleep.

Captain Underpants

Santa (a.k.a. Mommy) is very excited for Ella to start potty training, so he brought her Disney Princess and Minnie Mouse underpants. Santa even got her an Elmo DVD teaching her about going on the potty, which she is watching while running around in her underwear. Ella was very excited to try them on and actually last about 30 minutes before having an accident.

Our Christmas

Before heading up to New Jersey we decided to have our own little Christmas at home. Santa knew we would away on Christmas, so he brought Ella and Kayla's gifts to our house a couple of days early. Before opening gifts we decided to get a special treat and Ella's favorite, Dunkin Donuts! Kayla wasn't too excited about her presents, but she loved the wrapping paper.

Cute Videos of the Girls

The first video is of Kayla playing Peek-A-Boo. She was doing it really well, but then stopped when I started recording her. The other video is of Ella singing. I told her she could watch herself on the camera after she sang, so I think that's why she's upset at the end. Enjoy!

Ella's Holiday Party at School

Ella has been preparing all month by learning new songs and hand gestures to go along with them. Unfortunately, when it was time for the big reveal to all the parents, she froze and just stood there. Of course, she loved the snacks and the present from Santa, but didn't want to sit on his lap. Kayla didn't mind sitting with Santa...At first, but then she had enough too!

Big Week for Kayla...

She got her first tooth and is now able to sit up on her own! The bottom left tooth finally poked through two days ago and I think the one on the right is right behind. She's still getting up twice a night, but hopefully after the other tooth pokes through she'll only get up once or sleep through the night. (Fingers crossed!) Below is a video of the first time she sat on her own. It's kind of dark, but you can see still her.

New Toys!

As soon as we got home Ella had to play with all her new toys. First we put Kayla's toy together, but Ella wouldn't let Kayla play with it, so we put the Sit 'n Spin together for her. She got the hang out of it pretty quick, but wasn't able to spin herself very fast. Then she wanted to play dress up. Here are some pictures of all the fun!

Happy Birthday Grammie!

Of course our night didn't end there. Since Grammie's birthday is on Christmas, we decided to celebrate that this weekend too! Again, Ella was very helpful and helped Grammie blow out the candles.

Christmas - Round 1 (continued)

After Ella and Kayla took their naps we headed out to see Pappy and of course open more gifts over there! It was a very long day and as you can see in the last picture Kayla didn't quite make it the whole evening and needed a quick nap. Winnie was also pretty tired and warmed up the blanket for Kayla to sleep.

Thank you again to Grammie, Pappy Rick, Pappy, Aunt Robin, Uncle Dan and Uncle Ryan for all their generous gifts!
