Christmas Morning

Ella and Kayla were both up by 6:30 am and by 7:00 we were in the car headed over to Dad and Becky's to open presents from Santa with the kids. This time Ella had to share opening presents, but didn't mind and had a great time with everyone, especially Aunt Sabrina! Kayla finally fell asleep, but as you can see Ella can't help but give her kisses and rub her back...If only she could be that nice to Kayla when she's awake!

Christmas Eve

That evening we were at my Mom's to open gifts with her side of the family. Again, the girls were completely spoiled and Ella helped everyone open their gifts. Kayla did get much of a nap earlier in the day and by this time had enough and was asleep.

Our Weekend in NJ

This weekend we headed up to NJ for a couple of nights. As usual we made the rounds and tried to see as many people as possible. On Thursday my mom had everyone over for dinner and as you can see in the first picture Ella helped make the salad. On Friday we took Ella to see her first movie at the theater, Puss In Boots. She really liked it and we were surprised how well she did. She sat through the whole movie and didn't talk or complain once. On Saturday, before heading back, we went to PopPop and MiMi to see them and the kids. Ella had a lot fun playing with Isaac and Sabrina and especially enjoyed the tea party with real water to drink Unfortunately, Kayla was fussy this trip. I'm hoping she's teething and calms down soon, but considering all the running around and late nights she did really well.

1st Trip to NJ with 2 Kids

Yesterday we headed up to New Jersey for the day. Besides a few delays in the morning it went well. We hadn't traveled up there since Easter and we figured it was about time. My Grandma turned 88 on Tuesday. She is unable to travel, but I wanted her to meet Kayla. It was a very special moment when they met. Kayla was very excited! She was smiling and sort of laughing while being held by her Great Grandmother. We stayed for dinner and cake and then headed home. Both Ella and Kayla did very well. Ella wasn't able to get her nap and was asleep in the car within 10 minutes. Kayla was pretty much up the entire time, but slept great last night. Here are just a few pictures from our quick, but meaningful trip!
