Ella Peed on the Potty!

Before Ella gets in the tub I usually let her sit on the potty. I'm trying to slowly introduce the big potty without forcing her. Typically she will only sit there for a few seconds then wants to get off and get into the tub. Last night was the first time she actually peed in the toilet! After she did it I was so excited and she really liked how excited I got for her. So, today I bought Ella her own little potty. She was so excited in the store and sat on it right when we got home. After lunch she wanted to play with the potty again. I decided to set it up in the kitchen and let her try it for real. She sat on her potty for a minute or so and when she got up I realized she peed!!!! Again she was so excited how I reacted and was really excited for herself too! I'm not getting my hopes up (too much), but it's a great start. Enjoy the pictures...

OBX Vacation

Last week was the Updegraff's 2nd Annual Family vacation to the Outer Banks in NC. This year the Dyment's joined us for the entire week. We all had a great time, but were pretty exhausted by the end of the week and ready to get home. Ella loves the water! Whether she was playing in her baby pool in our backyard, running along the ocean at the beach or even in the jacuzzi tub she had a blast! Definitely her favorite part of the trip was playing at the beach. She loves running into the water, playing in the sand and picking up seashells. As you can see in the wagon picture below she is screaming because she wasn't ready to go home. All the little girls had a great time and got along very well. There were some issues with sleeping and a few VERY early morning, but for the most part they were all very good. It was very nice to get away and enjoy a week with friends...We can't wait to do it again next year! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the week. I'll post the rest of the pictures later tonight or tomorrow.

34 Weeks

22 Months

Yesterday Ella turned 22 months! She is talking a lot more and also getting a lot more independent. She doesn't like being told what to do and the temper tantrums have started already! Ella loves the warm weather and going to the playground. Her favorites are the swing and the slide and she could stay there for hours. She knows most animals sounds and is learning to count. She usually starts with two, skips four and most of other the numbers are repeated and/or out of order, but she's getting there. I haven't taken many pictures lately, but here are some from today. After her nap she played with crayons and then had a cookie. Enjoy!

Baby's Room

Today Brian and his Dad finished painting the baby's room. A couple of weeks ago Pappy came down to paint the room pink and then today they did the stripes. It's hard to see how nice to looks in the pictures, but it turned out amazing! We're leaving for vacation tomorrow, but when we get back we'll start putting in the furniture and decorating. Only 6 more weeks to go...
