Deep Creek Lake - Day 3

Today was our last day at Deep Creek Lake and it was a gorgeous day! We hung out by the water, Mommy and Daddy went tubing and Ella played in her baby pool. We also went to the HoniHoni Bar in the afternoon with everyone. We took the boat there. Ella still doesn't like her life jacket, but does smile when we go over big waves. She had her first lollipop and did much better with it then I except. Tomorrow we're sad to say good bye, but Ella won't have to sleep in a bathroom anymore. I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures from our trip!

Deep Creek Lake - Day 2

Yesterday was our first full day at the lake. It was cloudy and very rainy in the morning, but after lunch it cleared up and turned out to be a beautiful day! In the morning Ella played with the boys and Lynleigh. Daddy tried taking Ella out in the kayak, but she hates wearing her life jacket so she cried and had to turn around right away. Before dinner Aunt Amanda took Ella in the hot tub and she loved it. Today is our last full day and it looks sunny. Hopefully it will be another fun day!

Deep Creek Lake

The Nogle's invited us to the house they rent every summer at Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland. Yesterday was Ella's first time on a boat. She really liked when Uncle John went over big wave, but then got bored. I think she didn't like wearing the lifejacket. After the boat ride she played in her baby pool with Lynleigh.

Play Date with Sarah, Taylor and Emery

Yesterday Aunt Cheley had Carrie and Emery and me and Ella over for a play date with Sarah and Taylor. For the most part, the girls all played very nice together. Sarah and Taylor got their nap so they were very pleasant and extremely happy, but Ella and Emery were in dire need of their afternoon nap. Before leaving we tried to get a group picure of all four girls...Next time we should try taking it right away! As you can see in the last picture, Ella was ready to go home and a "perfect" group shot was impossible!

1st Birthday Party #2

This past Saturday we had Ella's second 1st birthday party in NJ at my Dad and Becky's house. Unfortunately it rained all morning, but cleared up in time for the party in the afternoon. Ella had a great time seeing everyone and playing with all the kids. Even though she didn't get her afternoon nap she was happy and loved opening all her wonderful gifts. I think the sugar from the cake helped her energy level. Ella liked her cake much better at this party and ate a lot more of it, but her favorite part was digging her hands into it. 12 Month check Up

On Wednesday Ella went for her 12 month well baby check up and is doing great! She is 29.5 in long (75 percentile) and weighs 20 lbs. 10 oz (50 percentile). She received three shots and cried more than any other time, but still did great. Ella's next well baby check up will be at 15 months.

12 Months

Sorry for the delayed update, but last Tuesday Ella turned one! She is moving around so much and is getting better at walking every day. She takes about eight to fifteen steps, but then gets nervous and sits down. Just yesterday Brian and I noticed she was taking more steps and able to walk while carrying something in her hand. I think it will be only a couple of weeks till she's running around. Luckily, she's still sleeping through the night and taking two naps a day, but she's starting to fight going to bed. She used to lay right down and go to sleep, but now she stands up in her crib and cries for a few minutes. Hopefully this won't last long. She completely off formula and drinking whole milk from a sippy cup. The transition wasn't too difficult and she seems to really like it. She's also eating a ton of different foods and seems to like most everything I give her, but her favorite foods are cheeses and Ritz crackers. Here are some pictures from her actual birthday.

52 Weeks

This will be the last "weekly picture" I will be posting. Don't worry...I'll still be posting pictures, but not like this. I hope everyone has enjoyed seeing her change each week and its fun to go back and see how much different she looked one year ago today!

1st Birthday Party

On Saturday we had Ella's first of two 1st Birthday Parties. This party was at our house in Maryland and Brian's family and our friends in the area attended. Ella had a great time seeing everyone and playing with all the other kids. She didn't like her birthday cake as much as I would have thought, but she did enjoy playing with it. Next weekend is her party in New Jersey for my family. Here are some pictures from the party below.
