Doctor's Appointment

Today Ella had her one month doctor's appointment. She weighs 8 lbs. 13 oz. and is 22.5 inches long. She's in the 90th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight. Since birth she gained 2 lbs. and grew just over 3 inches...She's tall and skinny! Her doctor also gave us some tips to get her sleeping better. The doctor thinks she may have acid reflux, so we were told to prop up her mattress or have her sleep in her car seat. She also suggested feeding her more frequently. If these don't work we're supposed to follow up again in a week or two. We'll see what happens...Wish us luck and stay tuned!

Update - One Month

Can you believe Ella is one month old today?!? I don't where the time went, but I am loving being home with her and we're all (even Winnie) adjusting to the new addition to our family. Ella is a very happy baby! She has her fussy times, usually in the evening while Brian and I are trying to eat dinner, but for the most part she is very content if she is being held. Only problem is that she wants to be held at all times! She refuses to sleeps in her bassinet or crib, so I have resorted to sleeping on the couch holding her. Its not something we encourage, but I'll take any sleep I can get at this point. Brian has also resorted to sleeping on the couch when he is on duty on the weekends, but he has had better luck putting her down in her seat to sleep. I think he gets excited for Sunday because he's back sleeping in bed for work the next day. Winnie is great with Ella and I can tell she loves her little sister. If Ella is her her seat and starts to cry Winnie sits next to her until she is tended to. Winnie loves to give her kisses and steal her tiny socks. The only time Winnie has a problem is when Ella is crying at night and she will go upstairs to get away from the noise. Sometimes Brian and I wish we could do that too! Ella has her one month appointment on Tuesday, so I will update after with her current weight and height and any other news.
Sorry I haven't been very good with the updates and posting pictures, but since Ella won't let me put her down it's hard to get anything done. Hope everyone is doing well and let me know if anyone has any advise for getting her to sleep in her crib!
