What a Good Mommy!
Just recently Ella starting "nursing" her baby when I would feed Kayla. I'm hoping she takes over night duty soon! ;)
Ella's 2 Year Check Up
Today we all went back to the doctor's for Ella's 2 year check up. She weighs 25 lbs 12 oz (40 percentile) and is 34.5 in tall (70 percentile). She also received her last vaccine shot till she's four and our big girl didn't even cry. She was more concerned with her lollipop to even notice she was getting a shot. Everything else went well and unless Ella is sick we don't need to go back till she's three years old for an annual check up from now on.
Poor Thing...Kayla Has Pink Eye!
On Tuesday I noticed Kayla had green sleepys in the corners of her eyes, but didn't think much of it. The next morning it was a little worse so I figured I would asked the doctor if she had pink eye at Ella's doctors appointment on Friday. But Thursday morning her eyes were completely bloodshot and really goopey when she woke up I needed to take her to the doctors that day. The doctor confirmed that it was pink eye and prescribed drops for the next 7-10 days. Here's a few pictures of our sick girl! :(

Ella can recognize all the numbers from 1 to 10. She knew I was recording her so she's a little excited and jumping on the couch. Enjoy!

One Month Appointment
Today Kayla went for her one month doctor's appointment. The doctor said she's doing great and getting huge! She weighs 9 lbs 6 oz (52 percentile) and is 22 1/8 in (80 percentile). She received one shot and only cried for a minute or so. Kayla goes back to the doctor's in another month for her two month check up.

One Month Update
Yesterday Kayla turned one month old and is doing great! She is a very good girl during the day and sleeps most of the time. She is has been going to "bed" between 8:00 and 9:00 pm and then is up around 12:30, 3:30 and sometimes 5:30 am to eat. Lately she has been very tough to put back down after she eats. I can be up anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours on a bad night. Luckily Brian has been helping me out. If she doesn't need to eat, he will rock her back to sleep, so I can get some sleep before the next feeding. I'm not sure if she has her nights and days mixed up or if she doesn't eat enough during the day to sleep longer stretches at night? Kayla goes for her one month appointment on Friday and those are just a few questions I have for the doctor. I'm looking forward to her appointment to see how she has grown and how much weight she has gained. I tell by the way her clothes fit she has gotten much bigger! Other than not sleeping much at night she's a wonderful baby! Knock on wood...She's rarely fussy and if she is I can pretty much calm her down just by holding her. I hoping Kayla's sleeping improves in the next month and from what I have been reading in books and online...It should, but we'll see.

Ella's 2nd Birthday Party
Yesterday we had family and friends over to celebrate Ella's second birthday. Ella had a great time seeing everyone and playing with all the kids! Kayla was wonderful! She slept most of party and let everyone hold her. Ella also got so many fantastic presents and enjoyed playing with all of them last night and today. Not sure why, but she got very upset and cried when we sang Happy Birthday to her. Of course she stopped as soon as she was offered some cake. Here are just a few pictures from the party.

Dinner with the Dyment's
Last night the Dyment's came over and made us dinner! It was delicious and the girls had a lot of fun playing together. As you can see Ella and Taylor liked jumping on the couch and sort of wrestling with each other.
