Ella Loves To Jump
Lately, Ella has really been into Jake and the Neverland Pirates. For those of you unfamiliar with with program, it's a cartoon about Peter Pan's pirates and they do a lot of counting and physical things. Ella has learned about jumping, hoping, climbing, skateboarding and all kinds of other physical activities. Anyway, she likes to get a running start, stop right before the living room at the step down and then jump. It's really cute, and as she says at the end of the video "fun!" Also, she likes when I video her and she gets to watch herself. I thought everyone would enjoy it as well.

Five Month Update
On Friday Kayla turned five months! As usual she's getting bigger and doing more by the day. She has almost grown out of her three month clothes, so in the next week I'll be switching her to her six month stuff. Kayla was doing really well eating, but then one day she just stopped and was barely eating anything. I think she's teething and the spoon may bother her when she eats. It has gotten better, but I'll offer her food three times a day and she will usually only eat dinner or she will finally finish her breakfast for lunch. I hope it's teething! Kayla has also been much fussier than normal. She isn't napping as long and isn't as pleasant when she's awake. I'm hoping a tooth or two pops through in the next couple of weeks and she goes back to her happy self and eating better. Luckily she's still sleeping the same at night. Typically she wakes up once to eat and another few times because the bippy falls out of her mouth. I'm hoping she starts sleeping through the night soon or at least not needing to eat, but we'll see.
Our Weekend in NJ
This weekend we headed up to NJ for a couple of nights. As usual we made the rounds and tried to see as many people as possible. On Thursday my mom had everyone over for dinner and as you can see in the first picture Ella helped make the salad. On Friday we took Ella to see her first movie at the theater, Puss In Boots. She really liked it and we were surprised how well she did. She sat through the whole movie and didn't talk or complain once. On Saturday, before heading back, we went to PopPop and MiMi to see them and the kids. Ella had a lot fun playing with Isaac and Sabrina and especially enjoyed the tea party with real water to drink Unfortunately, Kayla was fussy this trip. I'm hoping she's teething and calms down soon, but considering all the running around and late nights she did really well.

Ella's 1st Hair Cut
Today I took Ella for her first hair cut! I was super nervous about it, so I brought her to the only person I trust to cut my hair, Lucy. I have been talking to Ella about getting her hair for a couple of weeks now. I told her Lucy was going to cut it and she had to sit really still. When we got to the salon and Lucy came to bring Ella back to her hair, Ella ran up and jumped into her arms. It was very cute because she is usually very shy around new people. Her favorite part was holding the spray bottle and then getting her hair blow dried. I wasn't able to get a good "before" picture, but Lucy cut off about 3 inches at the longest part in the back. Now her hair is just at her shoulders and looks much thicker. Here are some pictures and a short video.

Happy Halloween
Ella had a blast trick or treating, but Kayla only last about 10 minutes. I don't think she liked her costume, so Kayla and Mommy headed home while Daddy and Ella hit a few more house. We let Ella stay up a little late and Brian gave her a bunch of candy and wondered why she was running around the house like a crazy person! Luckily she finally went to bed around 8:30 and was pretty well rested for school today.
