Ella's 1st Time at the Dentist
Today was Ella's first dentist appointment and she did great! She was nervous and didn't really let the hygienist do all that much, but after some time Ella let the dentist count and brush her teeth. After her checkup she got a rubber duck for being a good patient and that made her happy. Hopefully she will be a little better when she goes back in 6 months. (Her dentist isn't usually dressed as a ship captain, but remember it's Halloween!)
Kayla's Funny Face and Silly Noises
After we put the girls to bed Kayla decided she wasn't ready to go to sleep. Not sure what was going on, but she was making a funny faces and sounds we've never heard before. She would get a little shy when Brian first started recorded, but at the end of the video you can hear her. We thought it was really cute, enjoy!

Nogle Halloween Party
Yesterday was a very busy day for us. After the birthday party we came home to nap the girls before heading over to John and Amanda for their Halloween party. Ella had a great time playing with all the kids and Kayla was a very good baby! Ella didn't bust open the pinata, but she had fun trying to get as much candy as she could. By 8:00 our little lady bug was exhausted, but our little duck wasn't ready leave!
Sarah and Taylor's 2nd Birthday Party
Yesterday was Sarah and Taylor's birthday party. Ella had a great time playing with all the girls. We tried to get a picture of all them...This was the best we could do!

Ella's Halloween Party at School
Today was Ella's Halloween party at school. I was scheduled to co-op today, so I got to spend the whole day at school with the kids when they were dressed up. We even took them trick or treating to a couple of places next to the school. Class ended early and the families were invited to a parade where the kids got even more candy and treats. Ella loved being a duck and is excited to dress up again!

Kayla Eating Sweet Potatoes
Tonight we gave Kayla real food for the first time! I made sweet potatoes and she did really well eating them. They aren't the best videos, but I was trying to record and feed her while Brian took pictures while still trying to deal with Ella while she finished dinner. After Ella finished eating, of course, she was right there helping me with Kayla!

Four Month Appointment
Today Kayla went for her four month well baby check up. The doctor said she's doing great and hitting all her milestones. She weighs 13 lbs 10 oz (50th percentile) and is 25" long (75th percentile). I told the doctor Kayla started rice cereal a week ago and she said I can start giving her baby food. I'll probably start making her food this weekend...Stay tuned for those pictures.

Four Month Update
Today Kayla is four months old! She's still growing and almost getting too long for her 3 month clothes. In the beginning of the month she slept through the night a few times. I got way too excited and thought she would do that forever, but it was very short lived. Of course she was then waking up two or three times a night. Now she's back to just getting up once. I'll feed her and on a good night she goes right back to sleep. On a bad night she up for an hour or two losing the bippy (pacifier) and crying till I come in and put it back in her mouth. She is now sleeping in her room. We moved her out of the bassinet a few weeks ago and she's going great. On a normal day she takes two naps. One in the morning that can last anywhere between 40 minutes and 2 hours and in the afternoon she takes another nap that's about 3 hours. Ella still loves her sissy and has fun watching her play in her activity center or on the play mat. Kayla goes to the doctors tomorrow for her 4 month check up. Clark's Farm
Today was our 2nd annual trip to Clark's farm for a hay ride and pumpkin picking with the Dyment's. Last year Ella had fun, but this year she loved seeing all the animals and finding the perfect pumpkins for her and Kayla. She is completely fearless of the animals and we had to be careful she didn't poke them in the eye or mistake her hand for food. Kayla pretty much slept the entire time, but the rest of us had a lot of fun. As you can see in the last picture Ella was exhausted on the way home. (And if you're wondering...Yes, I did cut 12" off my hair yesterday!)

Kayla's First Meal
Last night Kayla had rice cereal for the first time. I was surprised how well she did and actually ate a good bit of it. Of course we can't do anything without Ella being right there! So we put Kayla on the table in the living room and Ella was next to her the whole time. We got a really cute video that's too long to post, but I'll try and figure something out.
